BoxPlay runs in any browser, both on smartphones, tablets and PC's.

Each individual player can:

• Enter and see results in this own box.
• See all box results in real-time.
• See boxes, results and rankings from earlier box rounds.
• See mail addresses and phone numbers of fellow players and send emails to boxes or lists.
• Modify his own data.
• Activate/deactivate participating in the coming box round.

Furthermore, the BoxPlay system can maintain a ranking of players based on their box matches, and generate new boxes for each new round. The user interface adjusts itself to the current platform and can be presented in English or Danish. The system is protected by login based on email/password. Sensitive data is transmitted encrypted over the network. All results entered by users are logged.

A comprehensive online help system gives detailed information about how to operate the system.

Box administrator

In addition to the capabilities described above, Box administrators have the following capabilities:

• Modify data for any player.
• Modify any match result.
• Change player rankings.
• Add new players
• Change password for any player.
• See log of match results entered by players.

Completion of a box round

The Box administrator needs to complete each box round in the following way:

1. Terminate the ongoing round. The system will calculate points, advancements and relegations.
2. Make adjustments and updates to the rankings, add new players.
3. Generate new boxes for the coming round. Once this is done, it is still possible to reject the generated boxes and go back to make further adjustments.
4. Finally, the new box round is activated by publishing the new boxes.

Technical

The BoxPlay website is running in the Microsoft Cloud called Azure. In other words, the website is physically running on a server in Amsterdam or Dublin. This gives the system a high degree of stability and availability. The website is programmed as an Asp.Net solution, using the latest Microsoft technologies. Data is stored in a SQL database.
